When it comes to fashion, Kate Middleton is not your typical royal. Known for mixing designer threads with fast fashion pieces, the Duchess of Cambridge has been spotted on numerous occasions wearing affordable brands that us commoners can find at our local malls. And get this — she’s even been seen shopping for said brands herself.
One affordable fashion brand she can’t get enough of? Zara. While many of us reserve Zara for special occasion dresses, the princess has been seen in jeans, ponchos, coats, blazers, and, of course, dresses by the Spanish fast fashion company. Many of these pieces even cost less than $100.
The only downside to these affordable buys? Many — if not, all — of Kate’s fashion choices are sold out the second she’s seen wearing them. But that’s not to say we can’t pull some style inspo from the future Queen’s affordable wardrobe.
Ahead, we share some of the Duchess’s most beloved Zara pieces — plus, a few other fast fashion companies she adores.
1. The dress she wore en route to her honeymoon
The Duchess of Cambridge is no stranger to the color blue. And perhaps one of her most recognized blue looks is this fit and flare dress from Zara. Worn the day after her royal wedding — en route to her and Prince William’s secret honeymoon — the new princess topped her travel look off with a black belt cinched at her waist, black collarless blazer and black wedges.

2. The white blazer and jeans she wore while on a royal tour of Canada
While on a royal tour of Canada, Duchess Kate Middleton wore a casual, yet sophisticated look. There’s no telling where she got her white shirt from, but the blazer and jeans were both from Zara. Kate is actually a big fan of Zara denim and has been photographed numerous times in various jeans by the brand.
Another thing she’s a fan of? This white blazer. While this may have been the first time we saw the princess in the crisp white jacket, it wasn’t the last. Known to repeat her favorite pieces from time-to-time, the white blazer is a staple in her closet.

5. This $35 rhinestone necklace
When you have access to Crown Jewels, you don’t even give costume jewelry the time of day, right? Wrong. While attending the royal film premiere of Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Duchess Kate opted for a rhinestone necklace fit for a queen — only it was from Zara and reportedly cost $35.

While waiting for the Olympic torch to make its way to Buckingham Palace in 2012, Kate Middleton wore this sporty-chic outfit. 7. This navy double-breasted Zara blazer she wore while visiting the Amisfield Winery in Queenstown
As far as her personal style is concerned, Kate is all about preppy blazers, and this double-breasted one from Zara is no exception. Equipped with gold button details and paired with a gingham navy and white dress shirt and matching navy denim — which was most-likely from Zara, too — the duchess looked absolutely stunning.
